If you know Oceanside, you know the hustle & bustle of the city life that Downtown San Diego provides - and it’s probably the last thing you want to deal with on your big day. Oceanside is just far enough away from downtown to make you feel tranquil & removed from city life. Not to mention just close enough to the gorgeous California beaches as well! If you are looking for a secluded, quiet property with a tropical vibe, Botanica might be for you.
Three Ceremony Sites To Choose From
I always love recommending wedding venues that have multiple ceremony sites to choose from. This allows you to fully customize your day and choose a site that truly feels like you & how you imagine your wedding day.
Botanica has three wedding ceremonies to choose from: The Cove, the Tree, & The Tropical Forest.
The Cove: Say “I do” beneath the trunk of the bent-wood landmark tree with the forest as your backdrop.
The Tree: Underneath the shade of the fig-tree canopy and on the bank of a spring-fed seasonal pond.
The Tropical Forest: This open-air, natural setting is the perfect option for the DIY couple. Choose an in-house arch or bring your own unique backdrop or chuppah.
Each site features plenty of space with its own unique tropical views.
You’ll Have Access To A Private Dressing Suite
I always love it when venues have dedicated rooms for the bride, groom, and bridal parties to get ready in. It makes it so much easier & more enjoyable for you & your wedding parties to get ready together. At Botanica you will have private rooms to get ready in to have a peaceful start to your wedding day.
The Bridal Suite: The Bougainvillea Cottage - Hidden amongst the trees and tucked away beyond the bougainvillea vines, you will discover your private, serene cottage. Beautifully Appointed with light and airy design elements, complete with your very own private style salon.
The Grooms Suite: The Cabana - Perched over a seasonal running pond, amongst the giant fig trees. This hideaway features indoor-outdoor space, overlooking your private putting green.
Andreas & Brit chose to stay in separate AirBNB’s about 20 minutes from the venue the night before and opted to get ready there and head straight into first look photos. This is also an option if you want to have a bit more privacy while you get ready for the big day. Brit did use the bridal suite for final touches before the first look as well.
Dog Friendly Venue
Another huge plus for all my dog lovers, Botanica is a dog friendly venue which is quite a rare find! So if you are wanting to have your fury friend included in your ceremony, this venue is perfect! Andreas & Brit had their cute pup, Coral in their ceremony, snapped some super cute photos, and then chose to have a dog sitter pick her up post ceremony photos so they could enjoy their night!
