A CASTAWAYS PARK FAMILY SESSION

I am a huge fan of family sessions like this sweet family session at Castaways Park in Newport Beach. We let the kids run wild, but also were able to get those posed family shots. I want the fun, real, and candid moments rather than super posed. Pro tip: kids have energy, so let ‘em be free and get all that energy out. I don’t mind running around and snapping photos the entire time. I’d rather that than crying kiddos or random tantrums because they’re over it and want to play.

Liz: Newport Beach Bachelorette Weekend!

A BEACH BACHELORETTE WEEKEND

How fun is this?! Liz brought her gals out to Newport Beach for her bachelorette weekend! They soaked up some sun, drank a lot (I mean duh!!) They kept trying to give me a drink throughout the shoot haha! Not mad about ;) My friend Ada was in Liz’s bridal party, which is how I got connected to Liz. Ada’s gift to Liz was an hour of photos with her girlfriends! They had such cute props, soooo keep scrolling through!!

A LITTLE SURFER LOVE IN NEWPORT BEACH

Two of the hippest, beach going, Jesus loving, Newport Beach living people I know! I met Amber when she contacted me about headshots. Turns out she and I went to college together, but didn’t really know each other then. Her best friend Ashten also grew up going to my church, so we had lots of connections. I asked if she and David would be down to do a “for fun” shoot because I had some free time and wanted to build my portfolio a little more with cool couples! David was down and we had it planned for later that week! They weren’t engaged and did their best to make sure they didn’t look like engagement photos, although he did eventually propose a month later! Now they’re married and living it up! A PIRATE'S COVE ENGAGEMENT

It was one of the busiest weekends out there - Labor Day weekend. Our great thought - shoot at the beach on Labor Day! It was madness, but we did our best to avoid the crowds. These two were troopers and the photos wound up gorgeous. They didn't even have the ring yet, but they were engaged and wanted to get their photos done before the big day on October 8th! Enjoy!
