First of all, I was so excited to be photographing Alex & Cynthia’s engagement photos here in The Anza Borrego desert! The national park was unbelievable and HUGE. I met up with these two outside the park during sunrise and we drove in together. HOT TIP: You need four wheel drive to make it in and hang on for a bumpy ride!

Making Your Engagement Session More Meaningful
My biggest tip for loving your engagement photos: incorporate something you and your partner love to do or a destination that means something to you as a couple. Cynthia and Alex love desert camping and taking their husky, Ghost on adventures with them. They knew they wanted to incorporate both of those into their engagement photos and the Anza Borrego desert was the perfect destination!
Some meaningful moments to add to your engagement sessions: your pup, first date location, intimate moments in your first home together, or maybe a hobby you both share.

Alex + Cynthia’s Love Story
These two didn’t meet on Bumble but it is how their love story starts. Both of their friends matched on bumble and they just decided to tag along for their date, the rest is history. They had been together for 4 years and got engaged in April of 2022. Alex is in the navy and stationed in Virginia Beach so Cynthia had to say goodbye to sunny San Diego to join her soon to be hubby, making these photos extra special.
