Quail Hill Irvine: The Perfect Location For Family Photos

Today we're sharing our experience of taking family photos at the Quail Hill Trailhead in Orange County. This location is always a favorite, but what makes it even better is the magic of the rain. The rain brings green fields and plants, making this usually dead area come to life! From weddings to family photos, I’m all about capturing those milestones and telling your unique story in the most candid and timeless way possible. Come and read this blog and get inspired to create magical family memories with us!

The Tiners: Shaw Cove Family Session

A LAGUNA BEACH FAMILY SESSION

I met up with Andrew, Sarah, and Jane at one of our favorite beaches - Shaw’s Cove. It was a summer night, so of course it was a little busy, but we still had so much fun. We let Jane do her thing and we followed her around, which led to lots of candids and such sweet family moments. I’ve found it’s so much better to let the kids pose (if we’re doing posed shots) and run around so it doesn’t even feel like we’re taking photos. You’ll walk away with so many beautiful photos like these.

The Gottliebs: Burbank Family Session

AN IN HOME FAMILY SESSION

I always get excited when I hear from Anastasiya and Brendan. I’ve had the pleasure of documenting so many important moments in their lives from their engagement photos to maternity photos to their recent shoot: an addition to the family.

They were kind enough to welcome me into their home in Burbank for some photos. I loved seeing their walls lined with photos from our various shoots — let me tell you, it means so much to a photographer to see how much you love the photos! We did some posed family photos then let Sophia just play. Sometimes it’s best to let the kids do their thing and follow them around rather than force them to smile at the camera.

Amanda + Jonathan: Hyatt Huntington Beach Family Session

A HYATT HUNTINGTON BEACH RECEPTION + FAMILY SESSION

Amanada and Jonathan booked me for their September 2020 wedding at the Hyatt Huntington Beach, but of course we know what 2020 had in store. They postponed to September 2021 and decided to do something smaller in New York where all of their family lives. I unfortunately wasn’t able to make the trip, but I was able to be a part of their reception/family session at the Hyatt. Every wedding is so different, but 2020 really brought out the intimacy and heart of what a wedding day is. It was really special to see their families come together.
