gettin' down to the nitty gritty

Let's keep it simple. If your question isn't listed below, feel free to shoot me an email.

Where are you located and do you travel?

I’m based in Orange County, California and travel often between Southern California, SF, New York and Chicago. I am not limited to any of these cities. I've also photographed weddings in Dallas, Nashville, and Detroit. My bags are always packed and ready for the next adventure. Let’s add another pin to the map!

What are your office hours?

As a creative, my office hours tend to vary. For instance, I may be up at 10PM editing, but in regard to being in touch with my clients I am available from 9AM-6PM Monday through Friday. This doesn't mean I'm unavailable for photo sessions or weddings on the weekends -- those are my busiest days, which is why I'm not actively checking my email on weekends.

We are ready to go! How do we book you?

YAY! Simply fill out this form & I’ll get back to you within 24 hours. For portraits, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required to book your date and time slot. For weddings & elopements, a 40% non-refundable retainer and contract are due to book your wedding date. Please note, if a retainer and contract are not sent, your wedding date is NOT locked in and there is potential for another client to swoop up your date.

We’d like to book you for a wedding, what’s included?

My packages start at $2400 and all include high resolution images on a custom USB drive (printing rights included) as well as an online gallery to share with friends & family. Some packages also include a complimentary engagement session, second shooter and an album. Email me to set up a consultation and go over a full list of packages.

We don’t want an album or an engagement session, will that lower the price?

Due to receiving so many couples who couldn't schedule their complimentary engagement session, I've started offering a package without an engagement session. You can opt for the package without the engagement session, otherwise taking a complimentary engagement session out of your package will not lower the price.

The reason is the engagement session is a time for us to get to know one another and get comfortable, especially since I’ll be following you around on the biggest day of your life. Plus think of it as a practice run for your romantics on your wedding day. As for an album, photos look best when they are printed! The albums I use are meant to be coffee table books, which are meant to share with others. Your family and friends will love walking into your home and seeing your wedding album. Plus it's always fun for you to relive your day as many times as you'd like.

What should we expect from an engagement session?

As mentioned above, it’s a time for us to get acquainted with each other and get comfortable working together. Engagement sessions typically last anywhere from 1-2 hours at up to 3 different locations. It’s really about documenting the two of you in your day to day life or in places that mean the most to you (ie where you had your first date, where he proposed, your Saturday morning hiking trail, etc). Within 24 hours of your session, you’ll receive the proofs and you can choose up to 40 photos for me to color correct and send your way in high resolution within a week.

Why will there be a second shooter?

Let's be honest for a second because I'm all about honestly - weddings can and will be hectic. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you can plan and plan and plan and try to get everything absolutely perfect, but sometimes things go wrong. Sometimes makeup takes longer or a member of your wedding party arrives late or your significant other is getting ready at a location 15 minutes away. Since I can't be in two places at once, I hire a second shooter to assist in making your day go as smooth as possible. My second shooter will ensure we nail every important shot, be where I can't be, and get different angles to give you a variety of options.

I found a wedding photo checklist on Pinterest, can I give it to you?

Throughout the day, I find it's best to let the moments unfold and capture them as they happen. In order to prevent us from missing any key moments or details, the only running list I use is the family list you'll send over for family formals in order to make sure every person is accounted for and gets a photo taken with you two. The wedding photo checklist you found is likely exactly what I would cover on any wedding day, so no need to worry - I've got your back. I'll capture all the details and key moments and provide you with as many photos as possible so you can relive your wedding day over and over again.

How many photos should we expect and how soon after our wedding day?

I average around 600+ high resolution images per wedding and always strive to have them to you within 10 weeks of your wedding date.

We are thinking about a portrait session, what should we expect?

First off, I will walk alongside of you during the whole process whether it is deciding on the location, wardrobe or the best time to shoot. On the day of the shoot expect the session to last up to an hour and a half, which is the only time limit I will set. I’ve worked with clients who have exactly what they want in 20 minutes and I’ve worked with other clients who may need 20 minutes just to warm up and get shooting; that is okay! I can tell you it’s 100% okay because I am not the most comfortable person in front of the camera, but I definitely am comfortable behind it and will be sure to get some great shots of you and your loved ones. Within 24 hours of your session, you’ll receive the proofs and you can select up to 20 images to be color corrected and sent over in high resolution within a week.

Do you do elopements or destination weddings?

You bet I do! Elopements start at $1000. For destination weddings, travel + lodging fees may apply.  Let’s set up a time to grab coffee (or tea) & chat! I’d love to hear what ideas you have and where we’ll be going.
