The Payne family is such a sweet bunch! I photographed Luisa's cousin's proposal and engagement in 2016, so when her family decided to do their annual trip to California, she contacted me for family photos. We met up in Huntington Beach near where they were staying. With kids, you know their attention span is only so long, so we made it a quick shoot while still getting great shots. Enjoy!
Every family session is fun, but this family session takes the cake for the most fun! The Chapin family is so so sweet and such a hilarious bunch! Stephanie and I met at an event I was photographing for her church. She mentioned wanting to do a family session, so we made sure to exchange contact info and I was so excited when I heard from her a couple days later. She was worried her family would complain about photos since their last family photo was years ago, but they were so easy going and helpful! Whenever I was photographing the kids, the moms were all behind me making sure the kids were looking at me, smiling/laughing - I really wish we had a photo of that! One unexpected thing was Stephanie's son in law, Steve is my neighbor's son! I had no idea, so it was really great to make another connection!
I love this family, The Adams - Mike, Pam, Nick, Mandy and Mike! I grew up going to Coasts Hills Church with them. Nick and I also went to APU together. I was so excited when Mandy reached out wanting to gift a family session to her parents. They gained inspiration from family friends, The Bates who I also photographed in black and blue. We shot in San Juan Capistrano and had such a blast laughing and joking around!
Ah these two are the sweetest! Their families rented out this rad house in Santa Barbara for a few days before their wedding. I was so excited to join them on their last day for their dinner rehearsal. Everyone gathered together, took photos, ate food, drank wine and played some corn hole. In order to alleviate some of the hassle on their wedding day, Chris and Rachel thought it was best to get all of the family photos out of the way the day before their wedding, so we did just that and they had a beautiful wedding day!
I was SO SO happy to work with this gorgeous family! It just happened to work out they would be in San Francisco at the same time I was in town to shoot for Eyvi. I met at their hotel and Michael drove us around through Golden Gate Park and Sutro Baths. They were such a sweet family and I'm blessed to have been a part of their journey together! Congrats you two!! Happy wedding planning!
